Website Design in Saudi Arabia
Website design is the practice of planning a site's structure, interface and content so a specific audience can complete a specific task. For a Saudi organisation that means designing in Arabic and English simultaneously — not translating an English layout afterwards — because right-to-left reading order changes navigation, form flow and visual hierarchy. We design in the browser, ship semantic HTML with no page builder, and hold every template to Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.2 AA before it goes live.
| Typical timeline | 6–10 weeks for a corporate site; 3–5 weeks for a focused campaign site |
|---|---|
| Languages | Arabic and English, designed in parallel |
| Accessibility target | WCAG 2.2 AA, verified with keyboard and screen-reader passes |
| Performance target | LCP under 2.0s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1 on 4G mobile |
| Handover | Source files, design tokens, component docs, editor guide |
01Outcomes
What actually changes
-
01
A site that renders its full content in the initial HTML response — the only technical requirement AI answer engines actually impose, and the one most agency sites fail.
-
02
Arabic and English as equal first-class layouts, with correct `ar-SA` hreflang pairing rather than the malformed `ar_SA` that silently disables the signal.
-
03
Design decisions recorded against measurable targets: LCP, INP, CLS, contrast ratio and keyboard path — not taste alone.
02What you get
Deliverables
-
Bilingual information architecture and URL map
-
Design system: type scale, colour tokens with validated contrast, spacing scale, component library
-
Responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop, designed RTL-first
-
Semantic HTML5 templates — no builder markup, no div soup
-
Accessibility annotations: focus order, ARIA, target sizes, reduced-motion behaviour
-
Performance budget per template, enforced at build
-
Editor documentation so the team can publish without breaking the system

Indicative bands, excluding 15% VAT. Final scope is quoted after a discovery call.
04How we work
How we deliver this
01
Discovery
Stakeholder interviews, analytics review, competitor teardown, and an audit of what currently ranks and why.
02
Architecture
Bilingual sitemap, URL preservation map, template inventory, and the content model each template needs.
03
Design system
Tokens, type, grid and components — built and contrast-tested before any page is composed.
04
Build
Semantic templates, then content, then motion. Performance and accessibility are checked at each merge, not at the end.
05
Launch & measure
Staged release, redirect verification, Search Console and analytics wiring, then a 30-day performance review.

06Questions we are asked
Questions clients ask
01How long does a bilingual website take?
A corporate bilingual site is typically six to ten weeks from kickoff to launch. Roughly a third of that is content: Arabic copy written natively rather than translated is the single most common cause of a slipped launch date, so we agree the content plan in week one.
02Do you design in Arabic or translate afterwards?
We design both directions at once. Arabic sets denser than Latin, needs more line height, and cannot be letter-spaced without breaking glyph joining. Layouts built with CSS logical properties mirror correctly with no separate stylesheet, which is why we build them that way from the first component.
03Can you keep our existing URLs?
Yes, and it is usually the right call. Rankings attach to URLs. We map every existing address to a new template rather than renaming anything, so no redirects are needed and no equity is lost. Where a redirect is genuinely unavoidable we issue a single permanent 301 with no chaining.
